What you’ll be doing:

This is a part-time, hourly position with potential to grow into full-time based on your ability to help grow the practice. You get to work one-on-one with your own dedicated client list. This role involves maintaining good client relationships and providing exceptional customer experiences through the entire care process. Working to bring new clients into the practice through fostering new and existing relationships with physicians and community partners is also expected.

For your position, you will be provided with training on best practices and encouraged to bring your unique existing experiences as well. You will be trained independently and by Dietitian Anna personally and have her support, strategies and guidance, but you are absolutely a self-starter and will do many tasks independently.

Requirements and Expectations:
  • Our administrative staff supplies and schedules new clients, but dietitians are expected to build and maintain an active client load and work towards a robust schedule.   

  • Must have a working knowledge of and willingness to learn and practice counseling approaches including motivational interviewing, intuitive eating, and Health at Every Size (HAES).

  • Applicant must be a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT) or be willing to complete this certification within the first 6 months of employment.

  • Have strong counseling experience with both adults and pediatrics, preferably in an outpatient setting. 

  • Provide evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy utilizing an integrative and functional nutrition approach.

  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of client care. All client documentation and billing must be completed by the end of the week that their visit falls on.

  • Our practice provides a combination of cash pay and insurance billed services. You’ll be trained on insurance billing and expected to carry out appropriate and timely billing practices.

  • Coordinate care with other providers, including written progress notes and verbal communication when appropriate.

  • Create and maintain professional relationships with appropriate stakeholders to ensure continued referrals and an excellent reputation in the community.

  • Have high standards of personal and professional integrity and ethics, with the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality regarding clients and our practice. This includes abiding by scope of practice, using evidence-based therapies, and adherence to HIPAA and insurance guidelines.

  • Contribute to an exceptional customer experience throughout each client’s care.

What would set you apart:
  • Formal or self-taught basic knowledge of integrative and functional nutrition framework with a desire to continue developing these skills.

  • A background in business or a strong entrepreneurial drive.

  • 1-2+ years of post-internship work experience as an RDN in outpatient care. We will consider new grads who can demonstrate excellent counseling and interpersonal skills from their internship or other past experiences.

  • A desire to play an active role in expanding service offerings through obtaining specialty certifications, creating and designing new classes and programs, and engaging in paid speaking opportunities.
